I have a new laptop and downloaded Audacity on it as I've used it on my past few computer setups. Some were windows, some were Linux (including my last one), and this one is Windows. My headset is a logitech of some sort and the computer works fine with it, and I had to change playback settings to headset but it got that working. Where I plug my headset in should work for both aspects of my headset (hearing and speaking) but I can't get audacity to find the mic at all and I very desperately need it to work asap.
#Audacity won't recognize my headset's mic even when rescanning.

I have bought an audio splitter jack for my headset cord to plug into my laptop. This seems to have made a tiny difference but overall still having issues if anyone could please help, I need this issue resolved asap for work
Update: the splitter is only audio so I'll exchange it tomorrow for audio and mic version and hope that that fixes my recording issue otherwise I'm really gonna need help here friends
There is still the issue, I have no idea what to do someone please help
mine has itds own special cord that goes through a volume control for the mic and earspeakers, then directly into my computer, it's a hyperx 7.1, i also have windows
I was able to finally get it working. Turns out the driver didn't load when I first got the laptop, so I had to reinstall windows and such but it all seems to be good now.
