ps extra info i forgot but is prob useful: its not just latentcy, the entire app itself is stuttering, but only when recording. Outside of that playback is normal, even applying effects goes as normal. I just cant record without the entire app slowing wayyy down and stuttering

I have task manager pulled up and im not getting anywhere near my computers limits,

Audacity is mostly a single-thread program, so out of your 8 cores - 16 threads, only 1 thread would be used

i think it might have something to do with my mic itself, as everything ive been using lately mic wise as soon as i start using it does the same thing
