Hello, I am in the beginning stages of figuring out how and what I need to convert my DAT tapes to be accessible as a digital file on my computer for archiving purposes. Would anyone have any experience with that process? If so, I'd appreciate knowing what equipment I'd need and the setup/process of using Audacity (hopefully!) to do so. Thank you!

It depends on how professional the recordings are (made), what gear is available to play it back, and what (computer)interface you have to record in with your computer.
If it's only 1 or 2 DAT tape(s), I'd suggest a DAT transfer service that does it all for you.
