Nothing in your computer including Audacity is going to change just because you switched between 2 different XLR microphones - so something else is going on. Perhaps you simply need to do Transport > Rescan Audio Devices when you unplug your interface. See also: https://support.audacityteam.org/troubleshooting/error-codes
