GOKU HD 745 EVO no longer detected COM port after flashing with 4.5 rc3 | Betaflight | Page 1

Hi all,

I flashed 4.5 rc3 to my GOKU HD 745 EVO board and it's no longer detected by windows when I plug in the usb.

I'm trying to figure out how to unbrick this board, and what the button on it's does ( tried all combinations of plugging the board in with the button pressed or pressing it after)

I did quite a bit of playing with microcontrollers a few years ago, so I've got multiple stm32 and stm8 programmer ( I think I even have the official stm32 one in storage) is that the route I need to go to recover this board?

Using boot button you get in DFU boot loader mode

Thanks, I've now tried that again. It makes no difference, the board is still not detected by the windows com port driver

STM32 Boot loader is always present

If windows check devmgmt.msc for changes when plugging

Using boot button is like hold boot button - plug in USB - and release boot button. I have some boards where it requires some practice to do so 🤣

In device manager it comes up as: unknown usb device (device descriptor request failed)

Doesn't matter if I hold the button when I plug in or not

Reboot computer - discord can interfere with node apps like configurator - try another cable or port

Tried all that, many times. All my other flight controllers are still working. All my other cables work too.

I've found my stmlink, is there a guide on how to flash beta flight using my programmer ( it's been years since I did anything like this, I'm sure I was using platformio last time I did anything like this)

Config is FLYWOOF745 not H745

Using a sushi chop stick to push my button here, you need to feel the click.

I was just encountering similar issue with a Flywoo Goku f745 pro (versatile 30x30). The normal target, FLYWOOF745, leads to board no longer connecting, but the flywoof745nano does. 🧐

I got it working! I desoldered my elrs receiver and it will now go into dfu!
