Hijacked UART - anything I can do to enter Bootloader mode? | Betaflight | Page 1

I keep getting error messages when trying to enter BL mode on a TMotor Fu7 Mini HD, regardless whether using BL CLI command, 'Flash Firmware' button or DriverFixer tool. Can flashother FCs fine. Special about the F7 Mini is that both RX and a GPS module are connected to 3.3V voltage port which is fired up when connecting USB (even without connecting a battery). Therefore, it seems one of the devices is hijacking a UART which then cannot respond to the request trying to take it into Bootloader mode.

Is there a way of forcing it into BL mode WITHOUT disconnecting the 2 devices from UART or 3.3V port? Background: FC is fully enclosed inside an aero canopy (headache to open up everything!), and I only left an open slot for cable access via micro USB...

does using the boot-button help, or results are the same?

Not sure don't have access to boot button w/o taking the whole quad apart... 🤔

hmmm, i think impulserx driver fixer might actually put an fc into DFU mode, but not 100% certai on that.
otherwsie, wooden skewer to depress boot-button.
