I am bench testing a subject stack, but not getting video. Followed some videos and soldered cam video directly on vtx and it works.
i have set on uart 3 irc tramp and added user1 as per instruction. When i power up i get a gray screen.....what could be the problem?

i only desoldered the 2 yellow wires, soldered them togheter and have video in goggles
it's all brand new stuff

Config looks fine and it's seeing the OSD chip

yeah i know seems all ok....even soldered the pad for 3-4s ...checked the 2 yellow wires with tester, just don't know what could be wrong. Even tried to roll back to original 4.3.1 and config.

If you connect a jumper between the yellow wires on the FC does the video work?
ie jump video in to video out while connected to the FC

Yeah, seems like something is wrong with the OSD chip on the FC. I would see if you can exchange it or contact diatone for support

Thanks mate, will see if it works with digital and use another fc for analog (cheap jhemcu)....if not will contact diatone.

very strange stuff, connected a vista and all works fine, video and osd. Will use it for a digital build.

Makes sense as the Vista does not use the analog OSD chip.

no, OSD info for the Vista is sent over MSP via UART connection. Analog video signals pass through the OSD chip to add the overlay.
