Confused about pitmpode and low power disarm | Betaflight | Page 1

I have a unify pro32 nano connected to my FC via smartaudio.

I'm a bit confused about the relation between pitmode and low power disarm.
Are they related somehow?

What I'd like to achieve:

I want my vtx to start with low output power
I want to be able to increase output power through the OSD menu or lua script on the tx

When my quad starts up, the vtx is apparently NOT in pitmode. Is the only way to enable low output power on startup to use the vtx's button menu?

I've loaded the unify pro32 nano preset

Cleanflight supports control of VTX modules.

To do what you want, enable pitmode on the VTX tab

pitmode in vtx tab doesn't seem to survive a power cycle though

Ok, on SA 2.1 you should be able to modify the first power level to zero and that will tell the VTX to activate pitmode when set to that level

Or if you want the VTX to boot up in pitmode but want low power disarm to go to 25mW, you can set a different power level to 0

Yes, that should work

Or you can use the button on the VTX to toggle pitmode on, and it should always boot in pitmode
