When you get into the DLC, find and kill the Solitude Knight just North West of where you first appear in the game, hug the wall, get there, kill him. His gloves, Helmet, and Boots are some of the highest poise kit in the game. Preceptors Long gown looks fairly okay with them. Nets a solid 84 poise with bullgoats.

Nope. Just get underground you'll need to do part of rannis questline, and reach the consecrated snowfield. From there you can find a waygate that'll send you to the Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum. Mohg and DLC entrance are thereabouts. Good luck.
