I don't think you actually have to use I frames in any of from softwares souls likes. You also don't have to upgrade your weapon or your character, you don't have to use a weapon at all.

Well yeah if you're used to the newer games then it makes sense for why it comes as natural
DS2 gives you more levels than any other game in the franchise. If you feel like you need more I-frames you can increase agility by leveling Adp or Attunement or whatever other method you want

The formula is
(Stat Level x Scaling # x Base damage)/100

For example
(Strenth 50 x C(45) x 100)/100 = 22.5
C(45) is 0.45

22.5 is your extra damage

It will stun thrice then final stun makes it fall down. Reposte for about 50% hp. It stays down for more than 30s

I prefer using ranged spells

But some others have a different method to take them down. Haven't gotten to them yet though

Parrying is a specific playstyle and not as major of a mechanic as it is in previous Fromsoftware games.. but the buckler is pretty good for the job.

There’s an ash tho for parrying that I think is better but also not necessary.

The best thing for any new player is to run around exploring, finding new weapons and items and trying out as much as you can and seeing what you like.

Each class of weapons have different movesets, benefits, and detriments. Some weapons even have better movesets within the same class as eachother.

yea sounds good. until mid game, put points into vigor till you reach 40, then the rest goes into the weapon you are using, example - samurai has an uchigatana which scales well with dex. so leveling dex till 40 should be your next goal

and also infusing the correct ash of war type - you will get small items called whetblade which can change the infusion of your ash of war to scale with the stat you want

Hey so a question regarding faith builds, so I started this meme build as Zhong Xina (after a tutorial on how to make John Cena on Elden ring(was really hard, character was imvisible)) I started my game. Now after doing a shittonnof exploring (now this has potential to be my second serious run of the game) I am just in altus platoe. And I am running a B strenght caestus fists, I also decided to run faith as I realized Zhong Xina looks good in a yellow/ brown armor. But as the avg zweihänder enjoyer, I have never tried to work int or faith. So what stuff I must gather for a better faith builds
