As much as feels comfortable, by endgame it's highly recommended to reach 40, and perhaps more, if you're uncomfortable with 40, up to 60.
If you have any effects that rely on maximum HP like Assasin's Crimson Dagger, Blue Feathered branchsword or Blood Tax, it would be best to reach 60.

best advice I can give you to start off... focus on Vigor to 30. This will give you a lot more health and you'll be able to kill things easier without dying

then you can also cheeze the bell bearing hunter at isolated merchant's shack for another 50k i think

there's also the rune farm of the ball at lenne's rise

both are accessible early game from the secret portal behind the church where you find physic flask

yes you can access mohgwyn palace for free 20k rune from cheeze bird enemy kill, but it is a bit of a long process. or you can use the magic giant ball cheeze kill at lenne's tower which gives ~2.2k per cheeze

just search lenne's rise rune farm and you will get lots of videos on how to do it

he should be parryable, and if ur trying to kinda cheese his fight. there is an item called: "margits shackle." with that you can pin him on the ground twice for a few seconds

and its a really handy item bcause it can make fake walls dissapear in a certain area around the player (it has a big hitbox which is why this happens)

you can also use it in catacombs/dungeons to turn of those fire spitting towers or make some pots that are hanging on ceilings fall to kill a certain enemy

Will the sleep pots last whole fight or will i have to keep reapplying

they will run out, but normally you should be able to kill one before the sleep on the other one runs out

also, if you hit them while they have sleep, they will wake up. but it allows you to hit them a few times before they start attacking

best thing to do is throw sleep on both of them or 1 if you think ur gonna run out

also, keep hitting them, even if they die (they have a shared healthbar and they will probably revive once)

for some reason there body can still be hit and thus depleting their shared healthbar until the moment it has fully evaporated
