I love graphics like that, and the radahn one is such a clever infographic. I am a professional photoshop and illustrator artist but I could never make stuff like that, at least I don’t think I would be able to. I love the style and I always try lol

Typically to get a colour as pure as that you gotta use a custom orange pencil crayon. I remember buying mine at Michael's but no idea if that's a shop you have excess to. You mix it with a high base colour, then one of a similar colour you want. Then you use white to mix it together to get that glow

Can't use crap pencil crayons for it because they just don't mix well

Do you mind me asking how you shaded the clothing. I’m struggling the most with shading clothes. This is a piece from a while ago. I made my elden ring character look like Dio

Well alot of the time the main issue people struggle with then shading clothing is shading it as if its hair
A good way to begin is
Blocking out the shape of said clothes now since clothing has gravity affecting them and theres also a flow and direction based on what you want you gotta keep those two factors in mind and the best way for shading it is block with a darker color then start adding lighter values with obviously some references on what you want your lighting situation to be , the folds will have darker shades at the inner edges it also helps to keep in mind of your saturation just as you can see the difference between dios vibrant yellow and the muddy dark yellow dont mesh well there needs to be variations within the color however this advice can apply to many other things as well

Hello everyone! I just joined the server because, on top of wanting to discuss elden ring lore with other fans of elden ring, I'm a 2D animator and there's an art trend that I'd like to make, but fail to find the exact character I'd like to use for it (see the GIF ref i'm sending attached to the message)

Here is a Phenakistoscope example made by Lamb Chen from which I'd like to take inspiration to animate a Elden Ring Phenakistocope myself! :)

In order to do so, I'd need to find a character from Elden Ring that goes from one physical state to another. At first, I thought about using Ludwig from Bloodborne, but going from a regular man to a monstrous horse was to extreme of a change for the Phenakistoscope to work well haha. Then I thought about Malenia, but the change between her face before and after rot seem too subtile to me…

So here I am :) Do you guys have an idea of an Elden Ring character's transformation that would fit in this trend, like in Lamb Chen's example?

and if you wanna improve look into how the clothes fold (at the armpits for example as tension point or at the hood), commonly used are "triangles"
and second try using different thick lines, the folds and lines on the hand dont have to be as thicc as the others (just as an example)
