I won't say where because that's spoiler but there was one way to proceed and in that area are mobs you can't really deal with feasibly and what the invader would do is camp near them, shoot golem arrows and throw hefty pots. And if we ran at them they would run to that hard to deal with enemy. And how it is when someone does something scummy, you can't just leave. You want them to lose. And it also started earlier, like were multiple run after them, one of us tries to get ahead, them noticing it and running further, so by that point when they stalled we wanted to win. Needless to say we eventually left, they didn't appear again but instead we had one guy with jar cannon and parry shenanigans appearing 3 or 4 times, like "oh that guy again." It was more silly than annoying tho
