thats on them for asking what to do in the discord then. no reason they cant search up a little guide on what they should do or something that gives them general info like "leveling vigor" or teaching someone that most of their dmg comes from weapon upgrades and not stats but thats not what i was going for when giving them tips. i was suggesting that they try to go through the game as spoiler free as possible and to just listen to melina and also to not skip cutscenes cuz the first time seeing them a large majority of them are awesome. i couldnt live with myself if i skipped any cutscene with ranni or melina burning the erdtree on my first playthrough. im by no means an expert at giving people suggestions but then again i dont think anyone here talking is. if i knew they wanted to know how to play the game better and not be an idiot their whole playthrough i wouldve given them something on that, but i obviously dont know that thats what they want so thats not what i gave them. a suggestion in this case is usually or always going to be based off of personal or others experience. i dont know what they want to hear so im giving them what i wouldve wanted to hear if i were just starting the game. your point can make any suggestion that anyone gives to him a bad personalized suggestion simply because thats what its always gonna be. you dont have to level vigor, or upgrade weapons, or pick a certain class, or use certain weapons or spells or blah blah blah. everything that you can possibly suggest to someone to do in this case isnt gonna be an absolute fact that will make the game better for them. i dont wanna argue anymore, i think we're both right to an extent and lets just give it up.
