#Judge Peckinpah reimagined

(I usually take a while to do my drawings; the next bird after this one will probably take another two weeks or so.)

This is one of my favorite characters from the Angry Birds movies. I feel like it's a complete waste that he isn't a playable character in the games yet, considering how charismatic this guy is.

Judge Peckinpah, or J.P. for short, would be the bird with an important position on Bird Island. I always felt this character would synergize well with Chronicler Pig. They are both visually similar and handle a similar concept: an old character with a lot of knowledge in bureaucracy.
JP's personality is that of someone stubborn and bitter, but capable of recognizing his mistakes. At first, he didn't get along with Red (as seen in the movie), but later he would become a great friend. I feel like JP would be the perfect idea to include a somewhat older or elderly character in the flock (other than the Mighty Eagle, who visually doesn't look very old, i.e., wrinkles and gray hair).

JP would obviously hate pigs like any angry bird, however, he has a special anger and fury toward the chronicler pig. I imagine him as his nemesis (This would also allow the chronicler pig to not be such a forgotten character in the franchise and have more involvement in the story). In fact, if there were a King Pig mode now (the one where birds are replaced by pigs), JP would be replaced by the chronicler pig himself, who would have the same ability.

Now, the most important part of all: What is Judge Peckinpah's ability? After much thought, I drew inspiration from three things.
In the movie, we see him perform a charge attack with his hammer when thrown, so his ability would be related to strong impacts with his hammer.

To explain it better, JP has two modes of play:
When he's thrown, you can click anywhere in the level, absolutely anywhere, and JP will perform a sort of pirouette along his path and pass through all the structures (by passing, I don't mean literally destroying everything in a straight line, but rather, passing through everything from behind), and then shoot out through the selected point, causing damage in that small circular area.
To understand it better, his ability is very similar to Space Eagle's in Angry Birds Space, where Space Eagle, instead of flying from left to right like all the other birds, flies from the back of the screen to the front. JP would do the same, but instead of destroying everything, he'd only destroy the circle where JP flies towards the screen (I imagine a sound effect similar to "Judge poooweerr" in the movie when he activates this effect).

If his ability isn't activated, that is, if you don't click on the screen while aiming at the target, JP will continue flying until he collides with a structure, causing a considerable impact (similar to Red's shockwave).

I know explaining his ability sounds a bit confusing, but I can assure you it's quite easy to understand. It's a type of bird that would help you eliminate the last remaining pigs in the level in extremely inaccessible areas, even where the pigs are covered by hard stone walls. Thanks to JP, he can attack from behind the screen to the front (you could say its effect is similar to that of the Tuskan Raiders in Star Wars: AB 2, where they select a target that will ultimately be destroyed).

For JP's design, I took inspiration from Yoda from AB Star Wars. Why? Well, in AB Star Wars, characters are usually based on existing ones, like Luke as Red, Han Solo as Chuck, Obi-Wan as Bomb, Leia as Stella, among others.
Yoda is a unique bird that didn't have a counterpart, so in the absence of that, I felt JP would be an interesting way to interpret that character as if he were part of the inspiration for creating him.

(For those who are asking, "Why didn't you draw JP in his robes with Cyrus?" it's because for Cyrus, I have plans to give him his own reimagining as well, making him a unique character.)

A little context.
With my drawings, I want someone to say, "Damn, this illustration is so good it looks like something official from Rovio! It looks like something you'd see in official games!" And that's what I strive for. I usually draw in three graphic styles (the classic design of the first games, Angry Birds Friends/Reloaded, and Toons/2). I do this because I feel that a fan art character better adapts to what you want to convey. That is, if you say, "I created this character for Angry Birds," the ideal would be to see that character in the most official way possible, as if it were made by Rovio, so that its inclusion feels more natural and everything feels organic.

I'm letting you know that I'll never do "birdsonas" "pigsonas" or any kind of OC because it's not really my style, I feel like there are too many artists here who do that already (I might only draw 3 or 4 completely original birds designed by me, but still in the future, I'd prefer to adapt characters from the Angry Birds franchise that already exist and there are many) 🦔

I remember there were gameplay of Judge, Mime Bird, and Olivia with her husband (one Red ruined hatchday of their son of). But this is way much more in depth

This looks like official art. Kudos to you!

Also I love that you included two of the Chronicler designs! Such an underrated pig!

Another excellent creation
For me, Judge Peckinpah as an Official character is better since never got a bird judge in the canon universe unlike how was in the movie universe
