Unused ABSpace Sprites

Ok so if you haven’t heard already these prototype sprites from ABSpace were just found

This forum is to talk about this and i guess figure out names for these, what they were supposed to do, and why they never made it to the main game

I think we all know what the Hal was supposed to do

Drill

My theory on why he didn’t make it to the game was maybe because that would be to hard to code

I mean we’ve never seen a drill ability before in angry birds (at least that I know of) so it would make sense for it to be a challenge

Now let’s talk about this… thing

I think this is definitely an prototype of Lazer Bird

Which is funny because now we know that Lazer Bird has 3 different designs

Then you have the white Bomb, which I think is just a prototype Ice Bird
If you look at the sprites and the emotions that they have it looks exactly the same as Ice Bird’s

Also these prototype sprites were probably when they were creating all of the birds, like transitioning from classic to space

I think I know why it didn’t make it in the game, it’s to similar to Lazer Bird’s ability

Again, that’s my point, I’m wondering if that was to hard to code, we haven’t seen a drill bird before in AB slingshot games

Lazer bird you select the place you want to go afterwards he hits the blocks, drill hal might work like, you don't select the place you want to drill and he can drill through blocks

I think those were still being worked on, I mean this is like probably one of the first sprite sheets for ABSpace, it would make sense that not all of them would be done yet
