Shuji Utsumi refered the relation of both franchises at that meeting as "currently dating"

Although in an december document from SEGA, they announced in what was the likelist part to be connected to Rovio, they announced that there were multiple Sonic mobile games in development. It didn't say how many or which companies are creating it, but we can bet that Rovio is likely making at least 1 of them
