- Added Forest Grass
- Path texture changed
- Forest Scatter system with Trees and stuff
How to get the material into your file
Download the file at the bottom of the post
Now open a new blender file
once it's loaded go up to "Files > Then append"
Go to downloads and double click on the file you just downloaded
Now go to collection and select "Collection and Trees" Then double click on one of them
How to add the grass
Firstly add a plane (or any shape you want to use, but plane preferred)
Go into edit mode and scale it up as much as you need
Now subdivide it about 50 times
Down in the lower left corner you'll find a tab named subdivide. If you open it up you'll find the number of cuts
Now go down to the material tab and click the small material icon.
Then select the landscape material
Now go into the modifiers tab and add 2 Geometry nodes
Click on the small icon to the side and select grass scattering
It should look like this
To paint the grass and trees you need to go into vertex painting mode
Go up to the top and there should be a drop down menu with the name attribute
Click on the minus symbol and then add 2 more
one named Forest and one named Path
it's important for the first letter to be capitalized
Use white to paint
the darker it is the less strength it has
How to add trees to the tree scatter
Just port the trees and plants you want and put them into the "Trees" collection
