What if Side Order has nothing to do with Octarians or agent 8 specifically, and they just used an Octoling as the cover character to contrast with Alterna and to throw us off?

I highly doubt this because the ties between Off the Hook and Octarian society is so tight that Side Order will most likely revolve around the idea of Octarians sharing the land with everyone else again, but it’s definitely a possibility
