how does the bot work?

so i added the bot that gives splatoon na news to my server will it just keep doing what its doing but in my server or do i have to tell it to do something

if all you want is the news, you don't need to add the bot to your server. You can safely kick the bot. The only reason to add the bot to your server is if you want access to the /profile function or to setup your own #art-fridge in your server.

To get the US or JP news, go to either #splatoon-us-news or #splatoon-jp-news, click the follow button, and then choose the channel you want the news to be published to in your server.

you can add it to any server you are an admin or owner of

we do it this way because it relies on Discord's publish feature, which is much more robust and reliable than having a bot post the same message to tons of channels across servers
