I've been trying out tetra dualies recently and lile it's playstyle. However, I still struggle with surviving with them when pushing forward

You're probably overextending/getting too greedy

the priority with tetras is drawing attention which means you want to approach at off angles and grab the attention of one opponent or so, when pushing forward it's best to keep in mind that you don't have the best tools for creating space so if you can't find any good openings you should focus more on sitting back and poking with autobombs.

In general once you're in a fight it's best to space out your slides so you aren't forced into a predictable pattern whilst still being able to maintain your presence. If you can keep one or two slides in the back pocket in case you need to escape.

Reef is a good tool for mixing up your movement and creating space but keep in mind that you can't actually do anything for a certain period of time after the explosion so you should generally use it as if you were a big dumb budget booyah bomb that your team can play off of.

Other than that just make sure to retreat if you find yourself in a bad spot. "Tetras want to die" is a good catchphrase but it's also really misleading; you want to inconvenience your opponents as much as possible. As such if you think you're gonna die dedicate the remaining time you might have left into leading your aggressor towards an inconvenient spot. If they don't follow that's a good time to superjump back into the fray

practice ur aim!

#

its very important on tets bc they keep firing while rolling

#

so instead of just snapping to your target after the roll, you want yo follow them with your reticle

#

this isnt really about surviving, this is just a general tets tip
