#Last Ditch Effort vs Comeback

I see LDE suggested a lot, but on paper, Comeback seems much better. LDE only helps with not running out of ink and only in the last part of the match. Comeback gives a main ability of swim speed, special charge up, ink recovery, both ink savers, and run speed for 20 seconds when you respawn. Assuming you die 3+ times in a match, that's a minute+ of a bunch of some really great stuff. For more aggressive frontline attackers (like me), it's more like 5+ deaths meaning you get the benefits for over half the match.

The trigger also seems more useful. If you're losing, you tend to die more, and thus trigger the effect more to help you catch up. If you're winning, you tend to die less so you get the effect less, but that's okay because you're already winning.

For people that prefer LDE, what about it makes it more appealing? I feel like I'm missing something.

The difference is uptime of the abilities as well as their strengths, when lde basically kicks in, it's going to have a significant difference into the match compared to cbk on most occasions, but it doesn't eliminate its usage, unless if we're talking about zones where majority of the weapons still want to take lde

There's a couple weapons that have a slightly higher demand for cbk over lde in that case but it's not always the case for that

although cbk does work fine for RM, TC and CB since lde might not proc as often as it does for zones since on that mode, it procs almost every single match while on the other modes it might be too late to really make a comeback (blame the maps) or the enemies never get past a hard checkpoint

Like I am still pointing out that having literally 8 subs of ism iss iru makes a huge difference to the game flow when lde is at full effect compared to cbk

I more often prefer cbk only if I need the rollout effect after spawn

since the speed boost is what I'm after as well as the pseudo ss through the scu portion of it

ink management tends to be "meh" and more of a bonus rather than a need

also that due to the strengths that lde has when it's at full effect, it can literally keep your uptime significantly longer

Got it, so the effects of ab_cbk are widespread but not very strong. With ab_lde it's only ink-focused but significant enough that most weapons/modes see a huge gain for it

I guess it depends on whether ink preservation is the key to your success near the end of the match. Which I'm guessing for most weapons/modes it is.

which is why it's actually fine to drop it in those modes if you don't want to rely on the effect coming
