#CC2 pressing any of the right half's thumb switches disables right half input

When using the CC2, pressing any of the 3 thumb keys (in any direction) on the right half of the device disables all inputs from the right half. Unplugging and re-plugging the device (or just unplugging and replugging the aux cable) makes the right half responsive again - until one of the 3 right half thumb keys are pressed again. No keystroke from the right half thumb switches is sent at all, functionality just immediately stops for the entire right half once any of them are pressed.

I have updated to CCOS 3.0.0 and have tried using it on a Windows 11 PC as well as an Ipad with the same exact behavior across devices. I have no custom settings, everything is default. Everything was working fine a few months ago when I last used the device. Please advise.

Unless you've already tried it, remove and re-plug the left half's usb adapter.
Note, the internal port is a little hard to find, it might help to shine a light in there to see where it is.

This is just a guess but if the issue could be caused by a stuck switch direction.

  • roll all switches, on both halves, one at a time (ex: south, south-east, east, north-east, etc.)
  • without or while 3d pressing (down in the center)
  • clockwise and counterclockwise
  • two or three times

If that doesn't help, contact !support, they could have additional things to try.

Another thing to check: make sure the trrs plugs for the cable between the halves are seated all the way in. I experienced weird timing issues with chording once and turned out it was a loose plug
