I'm gonna explain this gameplay wise - as I do not know the differences between platforms. You will start off by selecting an airport and with options between 2 light planes to start with. You can do contracts and flight tasks to earn money. The more you do, the more you get. That is obvious, but when you unlock faster planes/jets, you can then do them quicker, making your income from flying more as you fly faster, and you can do your missions and flight tasks quicker.
There are also groups alternatively for roleplay purposes or for realism that you can join.

So, Start by doing the tasks to level up at the beginning and when you have enough level forget the tasks, because it will not be profitable after and concentrate on the contracts. (best way to make money). and I advise you for now to waste your money on some expensive planes, so they will help you to do tasks and contracts faster, and then when you start earning enough money, you can start buying planes. cheap planes for fun, because a cheap plane you will never use again afterwards. 💰

There are also some planes that are faster than others, but are cheapers than the next that is more expensive. Sometimes it is obvious which to buy, but sometiems it depends. Some might be faster, but the less faster one more expensive because of capacity.
