I just noticed that 9.19.1 is in RC1 now... but they have not yet updated HWU. Does anyone know if the longlived FAS2750 will sopport this version?

yeah, it's supported. The upgrade script checks if the platform is compatible pre-update, and refuses to update if you try it on an unsupported platform. The 27xx family is explicitly listed in the upgrade script as supported platform. We have it running in one of our lab systems (FAS2720) since the first EVP release and it works fine

Great... guess the 2700 must be the longest running/supported platform at NetApp ? 😉

yeah, it's been running / supported for quite a while now

The cpu family is the same as the A220 which is still heavily deployed. The A200 was an older inferior cpu (which prompted the 220). That’s the inside baseball. But that system is approaching 10 years old and people really need to start thinking about refreshing them.

(Disclosure: I too run a FAS2750)

We have 3 backup-clusters with each 6 x 2700 controlelrs with the glorious DS460 shelfs 😉 ... good to see that we can get some more life out of them, although we have been looking into the FAS F50 as a replacement and skip the FAS2800... We just need the prices to get realistisc again 😉
