Why does HWU list Max number of drives as 144, but then it lists Max number of NVMe SSD as 48 ? and Max number of SSD drives to 120 per HA Pair.. Given this is hardware is an AFF pretty sure you can only order it with NVMe drives ?

The A20 supports SAS shelves
the 48 NVMe SSDs come from 24 internal drives and a maximum of one external shelf. If you add SAS shelves to the mix you can attach more SSDs, however, the 144 disks maximum is a hard limit that you cannot cross
