Hello Gents, Due to some some strange reason the iSCSI LUNs are shown with Unknown Status in Vcenter. Currently We are running ESX 8.0. ONTAP is 9.17.1P4There are no errors in the kernel log from Vmware side. VM can be build on the iSCSI datastores. FCP LUNs are with status Normal. Would apriciate if someone can point me out where to dig about that strange issue/behaviour.

Many thanks in advance.

For how long has this been "Unknown" ? Maybe it's just a matter of time before vCenter "fixes" it? I would try to do a few rescans etc. and see if it doesn't become "Normal"... How did you create the LUNs ? All manually, or with OTV ? There isn't much which can go wrong either way, other than the LUN Type and the igroup OS...

@arctic quest LUNs have been created from GUI. The only difference between FC LUNs and iSCSI LUNs is that all of the iSCSI Hosts are part of a host group. Regarding rescans that was done several times already.

The issue was identified it happen to the fact that general alarm for disk usage was disabled.
Once an alarm was assigned the status became Normal.
