Hi... we have a set of C800 clusters (the older R1 and better performing version) 😉 We setup SMAS using OTV 10.2. We can see that the volumes in the CG has been setup with a Tiering Policy of 2 days? Why is this ?
Also we would like to enable snapshot, snaplock on the volumes, yet it seems this is not suported in a SMAS setup? we are still on 9.16.1, does anyone know is this is avaliable in the later versions?

SnapLock with SMas is not supported in any available release today; it is on the roadmap but I have no ETA.
I am not sure about the tiering policy cooling period. Maybe worth posting in virtualization?

SnapLock is generally not supported with SAN except for backups like LockVault/CyberVault. Since SMas is SAN-only at the moment, that means no SnapLock

Oh... I wan't aware of that... and you are 100% sure we are talking about the same SnapLock? 😉 like immutable snapshots and not the enterprice/compliance kinda SnapLock where you enable it on the aggregate level? I am pretty sure I have Snapshot SnapLock enabled on volumes with LUN on them... like on a FAS system... in this example, we snapvault the volumes over to a C250 where we are able to do the snaplock.. (but it's still LUNs??) 😉 (It's always a bit confusing with SnapLock, because there are like 3 different "kinds" I guess?)
