for a customer deployment, we wanted CSI for NetApp EF570 storage device (SANtricity/ISCSI) in our k8s cluster (v1.27.10/ubuntu24.04 OS).

We installed trident v25.0 but documentation said E series are not supported from trident v21.07. So we downgraded the trident to v21.04 where E-series is supported. But the trident-operator says Kubernetes v1.27.10 is not supported in trident v21.04

ouch... I never used Trident with E-Series, wasn't aware that it is no longer supported 😱

#

but why did you go all the way back to 21.04?

#

oh wait it was removed in 22.04 already? wow

#

strange that they would remove support for a system that's still being developed and sold, but kept support for HCI/SolidFire, which is dead and out-of-support for a while now..

I think the only alternative "today" is to use the standard iscsi csi driver, but that does not offer dynamic provisioning
