#How to interpret the out put of qos statistics volume latency show -vserver vserver -volume xyz

I am particularly interested in "Cluster" column. It looks most of numbers under "cluster" colum are all very small , < 1ms, but, once a while righe after "total" rows, there would be a big jump 231.29ms for instance.

Based on my checking, Cluster = time spent waiting on another node inside the ONTAP cluster.

What is the difference between "total" and the volume row? Why most of them are very small, and then some jumps , how to explain that?

You can't tell much just from looking at the latency on one volume. What are the other volumes doing when the latency spikes? Compare the qos stat vol latency output to the qos stat vol performance output to get a feel for how much data each vol is pushing.

May I suggest nabox? I know it's not real-time, yet it will most likely show you a better picture

total is everything happening on that cluster/node/vserver depending on how you've scoped the command
