Hi there, we have a customer who doesn't have the "SnapManagerSuite" license on their storage system. They would however like to use a tool for the privisioning and resizing of LUNs on their Windows hosts.. (more of less like the old SnapDrive)... SnapCenter can of cause do this, but do you need the "SnapManagerSuite" license for this functionality?
#Licenses required for SnapCenter?

Hello , It depends on what type of storage they are using . Here is the document from Snapcenter 6.0 IAG https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/snapcenter-60/install/concept_snapcenter_licenses.html
SnapCenter Advanced and SnapCenter NAS File Services licenses are deprecated, and are no longer available. The standard license and capacity-based license are no longer required for Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP, ONTAP Select, Cloud Volumes ONTAP, and Azure NetApp Files.
OK.. I guess the license is still needed when using a standard ONTAP MetroCluster 😉 and don't ask why someone ends up buying a MCC but not ONTAP One... 😉
