#how to rack E4000 and DE460C? any documentation?

Four people for this? Weak Americans I guess? 😉
I installed four of these myself... removed all disks, PSU's and Link modules... granted it's a bit heavy, but it's possible to do, even without a rack lift.. provided it's installed in the lower units..
but it's not healthy to do it alone (and the link modules are rather fragile so I wouldn't needlessly unplug/replug them)
Have done it solo, would def rather have had 3 other peoples.
are they more fragile than on other shelfs? I have yet to have a IOM connector (or module) to fail, and they have been around for quite a while now 🙂
yeah, what you really want is a rack lift, then you can do it, one person easily... worst thing is if the customer has thrown away the handles (which isn't integrated like on other shelfs and controllers), and you have to move it without them... tried that once, not pleasant at all to handle 🙂
that colo didn't have one. I ended up field stripping it and putting it in, even that was rough.
Have you connected expansion enclosure DE460C. do we use sas cables?
it's 12G SAS cables.
I kept a set in my truck when i was in the PS world. Still have them too.
I thought you meant the cables that connect the drawers to the backplane. These are SAS but they are not very well protected against "mishandling" so if you misalign then during insertion you can do a lot of damage
