SMas out of sync while ONTAP update failovers? | NetApp | Page 1

Is is normal to see that the SMas consistency group go out of sync while the ONTAP update and failovers occur?
They synced up again once the node was booted up... but I thought that it was bound to the cluster and not the nodes, so a failover of one node in a cluster shouldn't cause this? Or am I missing something?

Is peering working correctly with both IC-LIFs?

Yeah I only saw it when one of the nodes (node 01) was down for update.. I could then see that it was running a resync which I think it would only do if it lost connection to the other cluster? when I did update on the other cluster everything went OK and I didn't see this... so I will be checkking everything now, to make sure I have not overlooked anything... but seems strange...

which version are you running? Might be this...

We upgraded to 9.16.1P7... guess that wasn't a great choice 😉
