#XCP is 2.5 times slower than before we upgraded ONTAP to 9.15 and xcp to version 1.9.4

we use xcp for chown as we clone nfs environments and change file ownership.

since our change our large volume change went from 1 hour to 2.5 hours (many many many file ownerships to change) and for another small environment the times went from 3.5 minutes to 8 minutes. they are on the same cluster but one of the environments are on ssd and the other on sata, no other changes have been done to our environment. Do you know what is new with ontap 9.15 or xcp 1.9.4p1

thanks

I think I saw xcp 1.9.5 available?

I'd be interested in finding that if it is available, 1.9.4P1 is the latest I've seen

Something in either ontap 9.15 or in the xcp 1.9.x has changed that causes this time difference for chown activity

can you go back to the previous XCP version and see if that fixes it?

so it appears that the issue started after we upgraded xcp from 1.9.1 to 1.9.4P1
