#Disks configs on C60 MCCIP

Hi there
I am configuring a 4 node C60 MCCIP (two HA systems)... As I can understand it, you "need" 24 disks installed for some unknown marketing reason?
This setup has to store pretty static data, and of cause it just at the "limit" with 24 x 15TB disks... (so if we move over our workloads we would be at 30% avail) which might be cutting it a bit close...
But what are my alternatives? 24 x 30TB would be way too much... So the other option could be to add a shelf and populate it with say 6 or 12 disks... but is there a "marketing" limit on the additional shelf as well?
Another option could be to go with 20x30TB, and see if a FPVR will be granted... I can see no technical reasons why it should not work, in fact we have some C800 where we have an odd number of disks installed (although not in MCCIP setup) but do anyone have any experience with this config issue?

Via fPVR it is possible to go down to 16 disks minimum, but no lower than that due to root aggregate (slice) requirements, i.e. data+parity+dparity+spare times 4 = 16

Lets hope we can get it approved 🙂

it's usually not a problem... we have a handful of such systems out in the wild and it was always easily approved
