We are trying to install BlueXP in our environment. Our environment consists of on premise clusters. We don't have anything in public clouds. We have chosen the private mode deployment. The instructions on https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/bluexp-setup-admin/task-install-private-mode.html#step-1-install-the-connector Tell me to run sudo /path/BlueXP-Connector-offline-<version>. On the netapp upport download page there is no package called 'BlueXP-Connector-offline-<version>'. There is only Bluexp-Connector-Cloud-<version>. When I run the executable it checks for connectivity to
mysupport.netapp.com
cloudmanager.cloud.netapp.com/tenancy/health
stream.cloudmanager.cloud.netapp.com
bluexpinfraprod.azurecr.io
production-artifacts.cloudmanager.cloud.netapp.com

The connections to these URLS are blocked and the installation fails.

our CISO department is not going to allow access to these urls. Am i using the correct installation package? This doesn't look like private mode.

We are using rhel 9.4 and podman.

The offline installer doesn't appear to be available for the latest listed version (3.9.55). If you select 3.9.54, I see the option to download the private mode connector.

Thanks for replying. We'll try version 3.9.54. I have another question. We have all our clusters on premise. Nothing in the public cloud. We also don't plan to use the public clouds in the near future. Should I use restricted or private mode? We want to have as few connections to external services as possible.

I think the question is "what services in BlueXP are we looking to use?". There's a good list here that shows what you get in Restricted compared to Standard.

#

In addition you have "private mode" that is even more restricted.

Console version 4.4.0 has a private mode version!
