Our Linux and NetApp are set up in Secured Data Center. We currently use System authentication (AUTH_SYS). If you can please share how many of you reliastically have already implemented Kerberos to enhance security?

Are you using NFS3 or NFS4?

We are using NFS3 for now. I understand NFS4 works better with Kerberos. But, this is not what I am asking for. If it is necessary we can upgrade to NFSV4.

We have one or two customers using kerberized NFS3. Basically following TR-4616 was the way to go and get it up and running. But you need people experienced with Kerberos to set it up (because you need or configure keytabs, SPNs,etc.)
