Why is there a 30% performance gap between C30, C60, C80 and C30r2, C60r2, C80r2 on Fusion? Isn't this deceiving consumers? Giving me 70% of the performance for the same price?

Welcome to the World of NetApp, where "70% ought to be enough for everyone!" 😂
The rationale is that you "should" get around the same performance for most use-cases, only the upper limit/cap has been reduced, to make you buy the next bigger model (or corresponding A-Series) quicker

as for the pricing, I don't know, but we certainly expect our NetApp sales guys to give us additional rebates to compensate for that, but we'll see...

The customer initially focused on the performance and cost-effectiveness of the C30. Because the reporting was based on the old Fusion performance parameters and the current performance does not meet the customer's requirements, they have decided not to proceed with the purchase.

yeah that's unlucky. If you had quoted the system before August 1st, then the customer would still have gotten the non-R2 system
