#Cold/Inactive Data

@ivory osprey We have volume access history available by week, month, quarterly, and yearly in the ONTAP: File System Analytics (FSA) dashboard. However, by default, we only display it for the top 20 volumes by size for which analytics is enabled.
@hazy tendon You created that in Grafana?
Yes that is in the ONTAP: File System Analytics (FSA) dashboard
Hmmm, I was looking for something a little more specific by volume or aggregate for cold/inactive data. It looks like I might have to create something eventually. THat will take some time since getting the graphs the way I want tends not to be too easy.
That dashboard includes by volume, but as Rahul mentioned above, we only display the top 20 volumes by size that have analytics enabled. Are the volumes that you are interested in showing not in the top 20 and that is why this dashboard doesn't work for you or for some other reason?
@left spire I think for aggregate he refers to inactive data reporting https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap/fabricpool/determine-data-inactive-reporting-task.html#procedure
I found that dashboard, I think what Rahul showed I didn't see where that information or chart came from. But when I found the one you showed Chris then I got what I needed.
@formal herald This information is already available in Harvest Aggregate dashboard.
Ah sorry for that 🙈
@left spire So what about volumes we don't use FSA on and only have Inactive Data Reporting enabled?
@ivory osprey This information is available in volume dashboard via metric in panels Rows Capacity and Capacity% respectively

@hazy tendon THanks!
@hazy tendon Did you need to edit a file to get to see inactive data? On both Aggregate & Volumes dashboards I see nothing that says "Inactive" anywhere on either of the dashboards? Yes, we have IDR enabled and some FSA.
hi @ivory osprey what version of Harvest are you using? These were added in version 24.08. On the Volume dashboard under the Capacity row, you should see "Top 5 Volumes by Inactive Data" like so
@left spire Yeah I only see logical space used and snapshot information. I'm running Harvest 25.05.0
@ivory osprey Could you reimport the dashboards and check?
@hazy tendon I will try that and see what happens.
What version of Harvest and which installation method?
Your screenshot is from an older version of Harvest than 25.05.0 - ova means nabox. What version of nabox?
4.0.10. Sory I thought you were asking about Grafana.
no worries. For some reason you have old dashboards in your nabox. Try this:
Go to Home > Dashboards, click here to select all the dashboards. Click delete.
Type the word delete in the modal dialog that pops up, wait 10 seconds or so and then refresh the page and check the Volume dashboard again.
