This one is a hard one because hardly anyone has done this before, but here it goes. We are in the process of preparing to use FLI. Someone else set up the initiators. I'm not sure what is going on here but when I run the fcp initiator show command, two things stand out. One, the LIF that is on the target port shows up in the command. Two, I see 2 WWPN for one of the initiator ports. Trying to figure out if the LIF name from the target port (5a) should be showing up on the initiator port (5c) when I run this command. Also, wondering if I should see 2 WWPNs per port or just 1. I thought 1.

fcp initiator show is for showing the initiators (servers) that are connected to your ONTAP system (i.e. those that access the LUNs on the NetApp). I think you're searching for the initiators that actually connect to the 3rd party (foreign) storage from where you're importing the LUN? If so, storage port show might be what you want
so in your case, one server is connected with two ports to the same fabric and with one port to the other fabric (assuming best-practice dual-fabric setup). check cabling and/or zoning
Ah, so the LIFs of the target ports are somehow being seen by the initiator ports?
yeah, that's the whole point of the target ports 🙂
your servers are the initiators and the FC LIFs are the targets for your servers. Then your ONTAP system has different ports where it is the initiator, and on those it sees the LUNs on your SAN that you want to import
you may want to re-read the FLI documentation as it is crucial to not mix up the two SAN zones. if your hosts see both the ONTAP (imported) LUN and the source SAN LUN, you will get corruption
