Hi on our test system we used to have SMVI installed in our VMWare 8.0 Cluster.. the ONTAP 9.16.1 Cluster presents iSCSI LUNs to the cluster and works fine with ONTAP Tools... but SMVI started to fail.. not sure why? But we are not able to add the datastores into the resource group.. we get the error that is is not compatible... either due to not beeing ONTAP (which it is) or the SVM/Cluster is not registered correctly (which it is...) we use the cluster admin account to connect to the cluster from SMVI, and it picks up the SVMs we have on it... so that also looks good... we even tried to remove it and re-add it but nothing seems to help... we have now updated to 6.1P1... but didn't solve the issue... any ideas as to why this doesn't work anylonger?

Hmmmm I had a thought.. we use DPM where we power down some of our hosts as to save on power... apparently as I powered up all hosts, this error went away... so... is this "by design"? Or are there a way arround this issue? Seems a bit much to have 8 hosts running as we normally only need 2 or 3 😉
