What in the end does REST API support? Also, this used to work with earlier versions of netapp.ontap!

yeah, the problem is that every single option or parameter only gets added to the REST API after someone (internally or externally) files a bug or feature enhancement. That's why REST is lagging behind so much, even new options that appear in ONTAP don't get added right away
If you want to be on the safe side, keep using ZAPI. My guess is that they'll have to support it for much longer than initially planned due to REST not getting up to speed

I know and it makes sense, but that used to work before (recently updated to 23.0.0) or back then it would automagically fall back to ZAPI? Also MTU is fairly basic setting - let's fix it!
If that was on the github, I could send PR, but that is ONTAP - no touchy touchy there 😄 Except if you are hiring - like in that dev joke 😄
