Hi, I am new to upgrading E-series systems, can anyone please help me with below ?

Upgrade Order for all components
Upgrade version matrix (like we have for ONTAP which can tell whether we direct upgrade is allowed to a particular version)
What all files should I download ?
Is upgrade allowed or should be performed if pool is more than 90% full ?
Any risks/considerations ?

What model do you have and what SANtricity version is currently being used?

Most E-Series upgrades are just a direct upgrade. The difference is between 11.70.x and 11.80.x where you had to be on 11.70.5 I believe or later before going to 11.80.x or later.

As per this, https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/e-series-santricity/um-manage/upgrade-controller-firmware.html, you must go to 11.70.5 first, then you go beyond that.

@latent hare Thanks for your response, current OS is 11.70.5R1, model is E2800, the pool is 89% full (wonder if its safe to upgrade with this utilization), target version is 11.90R2, would the disk FW need to be updated using the parallel method ? I believe there is a BUG going around for updating disk FW.
