#Storagegrid installer

I had some remote hands connect and add an IP to the admin port for a storagegrid appliance in a new datacenter site.
While accessing the installer from the same network works I am unable to connect from a different network; event if all ports seems to be open - 80, 8443.

According to my networking team the firewall is not blocking anything. So my question is does the storagegrid installer allow connections from other networks?

the default gateway is on the grid network, so you'd have to use an ip on that network, but i don't enough to say for sure from what you've written

it does allow from other network. None of my grids are ever in my same subnet. Be sure the proper gateway is set on the appliance.
I am assuming by different network you mean different subnet. If its a different network entierly with no connection of course it wouldn't work.

yes I meant different subnet. The ip is accessable from the "other" subnet where i'm connecting from, so routing works. Its just once I connect to the ip it redirects toport 8443, tries to load the installer page and then errors out with a generic "err_connection" in the browser.

If it does allow other subnets to connect to the installer I'll just assume the issue lies with the network/firewalls. I just thought I'd ask since i've seen other appliances only allowing same subnet or having to "allow" certain subnets to connect to the gui.
