Hello, in order to avoid Vmware licenses for hosting ontap deploy, I would like to virtualize ontap Deploy on a Proxmox server. Is this solution supported by Netapp? The storage nodes will be hosted on VSphere servers.

Hello, this documentation is not about ontap deploy but about the support of Proxmox as a virtualization solution that reaches Netapp storage for its repositories. It's not the engine that runs ontap deploy.

have you tried requesting an fPVR? ONTAP Select is supported on KVM, and Proxmox uses (or can use) KVM.

The FPVR is in the process of being created, but if I could have avoided going that far, it would have been good.

There is an fPVR already entered for Select support on Proxmox. Should be a slam dunk as Proxmox is a management plane on KVM.
