#Cluster Peer + SnapMirror through a firewall

Hi there, I am struggling with setting up two clusters to do snapmirror... first is the cluster peering which is where I get stuck... it hangs and then complains that the "introductory RPC" failed to connect... The firewall guys claim they have opened the following: ICMP (bidirectional) which I can test works, then port 443+11104+11105 should also be opened in both directions... am I missing something or have the firewall guys not done their work correctly? 😉

#

...maybe there is a way to test if the ports are open on the remote cluster via ONTAP ?

I know that port 10000 used to be NDMP right? 😉

#

Anyway I have requested 10000 to be opened, lets see if it does the trick...

#

...but the cluster ping just testes ICMP and not the other ports? So to test the other ports one would have to be creative like "systemshell"-clever? 😉

Inter cluster communication occurs on 11104-11105 TCP, both directions. Snapmirror occurs on 10000 TCP.

#

This occurs between the IPs assigned the intercluster role on each cluster.
