Hi there, I am struggling with setting up two clusters to do snapmirror... first is the cluster peering which is where I get stuck... it hangs and then complains that the "introductory RPC" failed to connect... The firewall guys claim they have opened the following: ICMP (bidirectional) which I can test works, then port 443+11104+11105 should also be opened in both directions... am I missing something or have the firewall guys not done their work correctly? 😉

...maybe there is a way to test if the ports are open on the remote cluster via ONTAP ?
I think you also need port 10000 open: https://kb.netapp.com/on-prem%2Fontap%2FDP%2FSnapMirror%2FSnapMirror-KBs%2FUnable_to_Peer_with_remote_cluster_despite_full_connectivity
Hmm why doesn't this KB mention this? https://kb.netapp.com/on-prem/ontap/DP/SnapMirror/SnapMirror-KBs/What_are_the_firewall_requirements_for_intercluster_SnapMirror_with_ONTAP_9
I know that port 10000 used to be NDMP right? 😉
Anyway I have requested 10000 to be opened, lets see if it does the trick...
...but the cluster ping just testes ICMP and not the other ports? So to test the other ports one would have to be creative like "systemshell"-clever? 😉
