Hi all,
We have detected an issue with the combination of ontap-nas-economy PVCs created before 23.04, used in RWX access mode, mounted in different nodes, and the process of upgrading to Trident 24.10.
Please, with this combination, do not upgrade to Trident 24.10 until we provide a fix.
Summary of the issue:
When customers upgrade to Trident v24.10, they encounter a "permission denied" error in the following scenario:
- They are using ontap-nas-economy volumes AND
- They have RWX volumes created using Trident v23.01 or older AND
- They are using autoExportPolicy=true AND
- A new pod that uses the same RWX volume is scheduled on a new node
