Hi all,

This may be a slightly different question to the norm.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to have a global (cross region; AMER, EMEA, APAC) deployment of a StorageGRID cluster (or clusters) fronted by a GSLB type configuration which would allow for localised S3 ingress/egress of a single account/bucket.
The challenge being faced is the S3 repository for our application is in the UK, however applications hosted in Australia are seeing massive performance issues due to the latency of the ingress/egress point residing in the UK.

I am wondering if StorageGRID can help me solve this issue in any way.

Thanks,
Dan

Your NetApp SE should be able to help you with this. As long as the network segments are routed between sites, ILM policies are set up correctly and you consider the latency involved, nothing can go wrong.
My gut feeling says a whole copy of the data per site might be clever to reduce WAN reads while reading data
