I have a system which reported a failed drive in sysconfig -r and sysconfig -a (14d.18.22). After replacing and assigning the new drive, it showed up in sysconfig -a as well as sysconfig -r. However, in sysconfig -r, it still shows the original drive as failed, BUT without a disk number and it also did not start to rebuild the disk onto another spare disk, although there are enough spare disks, of the same size and model in the shelves.

How do I fix the aggr as I cannot do a copy out from the failed disk, as no disk detail is shown?

@gentle hedge
please post the output of sysconfig -r. You cannot manually trigger a rebuild, it will start automatically unless something is not right. So in your case something must be wrong about that disk

Your spare disks are the wrong size, they are too small to reconstruct the failed disk

The failed disk has 1713523 MB but your spares only have 1142352 MB

Oh shucks - I missed that - there are a lot of failures on the 1.2s (x425s), and I took the wrong disk....
