Hi there, we have had much fun configuring the SMAS Protected Cluster in our VMWare environment. We have set this up with two C800 clusters... working well and all. We have two backup systems C250 which we would also like a datastore setup on... yet it looks like once you have setup the Protected Cluster, you cannot use OTV to "Create Datastore" on other storage systems? We have added the two C250 which has a SVM created with iSCSI LIFs etc.. yet we cannot select any of them of we try to create a datastore on the cluster... if we try from a single host we get the message that this is not allowed because we have setup the Protected Cluster... huh? So will SnapCenter for vSphere even be able to restore anything from out C250? I am not sure why this is kinda "locked" down like this?
